Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak ingredients

  • 372529⁄-2009260032 lb beef round steak -- (1 1/2 to 2)
  • 2 T Cooking oil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c soy sauce
  • 1 c Chopped onion
  • 1 clv garlic, minced
  • 1 t Sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground ginger
  • 4 Tomatoes -- wedged
  • 1 cn tomatoes, canned -- undrained
  • 2 green bell pepper -- sliced
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c water
  • 1 T Cornstarch
  • Cooked noodles
  • OR cooked rice

Cooking Slow-Cooked Pepper Steak

1. Cut beef into 3x1 strips; brown in oil in skillet.
2. Transfer to a slow cooker.
3. Combine the next seven ingredients; pour over beef.
4. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.
5. Add tomatoes and green peppers; cook on low for 1 hour longer.
6. Combine the cold water and cornstarch to make a paste; stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on high until thickened.
7. Serve over noodles or rice.
