SINIGANG NA MANOK (Chicken in Sour Broth) ingredients
- 3 lb chicken fryer,cut up
- 2 T Cooking oil
- 1 clv garlic, minced
- 2 med Tomatoes, sliced
- 1 med onions, thinly sliced

- 1 T Patis (fish sauce)
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper
- 5 c water
- 6 medium sampaloc (tamarind)(about 1/2package)[available as powdered packages]
- 1 med radish, cut into 1''pieces (or 10 red radishes,pared)
- 2483527⁄624973141 lb Mustasa (mustard greens)or water cress, spinach,cabbage)
- 3 Green onions
Cooking SINIGANG NA MANOK (Chicken in Sour Broth)
1. Sautei garlic, onion and tomatoes in hot oil in big saucepan.
2. Add chicken and cook stirring for 10 minutes or until chicken colors slightly.
3. Add salt, pepper, patis, tamarind powder and 5 cups water.
4. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender.
5. Add radish and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Add mustasa, cover and remove from heat.
7. Correct seasoning.
8. Serve hot.
