- 2 T Ground Chili
- 1 small Onions
- 1 t Shrimp Paste, lightly
- -Grilled
- Salt to taste

Cooking Shrimp paste sambal (sambal terasi)
1. Pound finely the chilli, onion and shrimp paste with salt to taste.
2. Add lemon juice and blend well.
3. Place in a bowl.
4. This sambal is well known throughout the archipelago.
5. However i recommend it only for addicts.
6. If you want to make indonesian newcomers feel at home, serve it with vegetables, plain boiled rice and with a grill.
7. Anchovyi fillets, about 2 pieces, may be substituted for shrimp paste if you wish.
