Shrimp Creole 1 ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c Oil
  • 2 c Celery, chopped
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 cn Tomatoes, Hunt's=AE Choice-Cut Diced
  • 3 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Black pepper
  • 2 T Green onion tops -- chopped
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c bell pepper -- chopped
  • 2 clv garlic, minced
  • 3 lb Shrimp -- cleaned
  • 2 small Tomato paste
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Red Pepper
  • 2 T Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 t worchestershire sause
  • 6 c water

Cooking Shrimp Creole 1

1. Make roux of flour and oil. Browni over low heat, stirring constantly.
2. Add seasonings, onions, celery, bell pepper and garlic.
3. Cook until soft.
4. Add tomatoes and paste.
5. mix well and cook about 5 minutes.
6. Add water.
7. Let simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Add shrimp, cook about 20 minutes.
8. Add onion tops and parsley.
9. Serve over rice.
