Shells with tuna, broccoli, and red onion ingredients
- 1⁄4 c olive oil
- 1⁄2 c Onion, sliced thin
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 6 oz Tuna, canned
- 3 T Fresh lemon juice
- 1 T parsley, chopped
- 1 T lemon zest, grated
- 1⁄2 t Dried oregano
- 1⁄4 t Black pepper, coarsely groun
- 8 oz Pasta shells
- 2 c Broccoli florets and stems -
Cooking Shells with tuna, broccoli, and red onion
1. Recipe by: jenipher lapoint Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over low heat; stir in onion and gar saute 2 minutes Cook the shells in plenty of boiling salted water for 5 minutes; add th broccoli; cook until pasta is al dente and broccoli is tender, 5 to 7 minut longer.
2. Remove ¼ cup of the pasta cooking water and add to tuna sauce.
3. Drain pasta; toss with tuna mixture and serve at once.
4. Makes 4 servings.
