Scandinavian Fondue ingredients

  • 12 oz Beer
  • 1 T Cornstarch
  • 1 garlic
  • 3⁄4 lb edam
  • 1⁄2 t white pepper
  • 1 lb Rye bread

Cooking Scandinavian Fondue

1. Combine ¼ cup beer and cornstarch-mix well.
2. Rub inside of fondue pot or round chafing dish with garlic halves, discard garlic.
3. Heat remaining beer to a simmer in fondue pot or chafer gradually add cheese, stirring until each addition has melted before adding another.
4. Add cornstarch mixture, heat and stir until thickened season to taste with white pepper.
5. Serve hot, with bread cubes to the side.
