Russian helmets aka baked eggs ingredients
- 6 Eggs
- 6 Medium tomatos
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1⁄2 t pepper, to taste
- 3 t Red wine or herbal vinegar
- 2 T butter
Cooking Russian helmets aka baked eggs
1. Cut the stem section from the top of each tomato.
2. Take a spoon and scoop out the pulp & seeds.
3. Sprinkle into each tomato a ½ tspn of wine or vinegar.
4. Break one egg into each tomato.
5. Place in a buttered baking pan and put into a preheated 325 degeree oven.
6. Bakei until eggs are set to your own taste.
7. Remove from oven sprinkle with salt & pepper to taste and top a dab of butter.
8. A tasty & different lunch or brunch treat!.
