Rocks # 2 ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 c Brown sugar
- 1 c -Shortening
- 1 c Chopped figs
- Raisins or dates
- 1⁄2 t Baking soda
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 t Cinnamon
- 1 c Chopped nuts
- 2 Eggs, well beaten
- 2⁄3 c Sour milk
- 1 1⁄2 c rolled oats
- 2 c Cake flour
- 1⁄2 t Ground cloves
- 1⁄2 t Salt
Cooking Rocks # 2
1. Creami shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs.
3. Beat thoroughly.
4. Sifti flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
5. Add rolled oats.
6. Add alternately with milk to first mixture.
7. Add nuts and fruit.
8. Mixi thoroughly.
9. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet.
10. Bakei in moderate oven (375 F) about 12 minutes.
