Rib eye express barbequed hamburgers ingredients
- BASIC HAMBURGER MIX
- 1 lb Hamburger
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1 T Instant minced onions
- 1⁄8 t garlic Powder
- SAVORY BURGERS
- 1⁄4 t Savory
- RED HOT BURGERS
- 1 t Crushed hot red pepper
- ORIENTAL BURGERS
- 1⁄4 t Ginger
- 1 t Lemon Zest
- 1 t soy sauce
- SESAME BURGERS
- 1⁄4 c Toasted sesame seeds
- HOT-N-TANGY BURGERS
- 1 t Season All, Seasoned salt
- 1 t Barbeque Spice
- DILL BURGERS
- 1⁄2 t Crushed dill seed
- 1⁄4 c Chopped olives OR
- - Sweet Pickles
- HERB BURGERS
- 1⁄4 t Marjoram
- 1⁄8 t thyme
- 1⁄4 t Celery salt
- 1 t parsley flakes
- CHILI-CHEESE BURGERS
- 1 c Grated cheese
- 1⁄4 c Milk
- 1⁄2 t Chili powder
- SPICE BURGERS
- 1⁄2 t Dry mustard
- 1⁄4 t Nutmeg, ground
Cooking Rib eye express barbequed hamburgers
1. The basic burger mix will yield 4 burgers.
2. Add the following herbs and spices to the basic burger mix to create variations on the basic burgers.
3. Place into smoker/cooker (i use a water cooker) with the water pan filled with cold water or ice. Allow the smoker to obtain cooking temperature, 180-250 degrees.
4. Smoke/cook approximately 1 hour per side.
5. (total cooking time is approximately 2-2 ½ hours).
6. Slop with favorite bbq sauce during the last ½ hour of cooking.
7. We make up a weeks supply of these at a time.
8. They are absolutely delicious.
