Rabbit hasenpfeffer ingredients
- 1 Dressed Rabbit
- 2 t Salt
- 2 To 3 cup vinegar
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper
- 2 To 3 cup water
- 1 t Whole pickling spices
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Granulated sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 Sliced Onions
Cooking Rabbit hasenpfeffer
1. Combine all ingredients (except the rabbit) and pour over rabbit.
2. Let stand in a cool place for 2 days.
3. Remove rabbit and drain and dry. Roll in flour, brown in hot fat. Gradually add 1 cup of solution.
4. Cover and simmer until tender.
5. Thicken remaining liquid for gravy.
