Queso Flameado ingredients

  • 4 c Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 c Jack cheese
  • 1 lb Chorizo
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 lb tortilla chips

Cooking Queso Flameado

1. Heat an ovenproof platter in a 250 degree oven.
2. Combine mozzarella and jack cheeses in the top of a double boiler.
3. Set over simmering water and allow cheese to melt slowly meanwhile, saute chorizo in a skillet, over a moderate flame, until well done.
4. Remove to drain on paper towels.
5. Add chorizo to melting cheese.
6. Pour melted cheese onto serving platter.
7. Serve hot,.
8. With tortilla chips to the side.
9. Note: dish may also be served in a fondue pot or chafing dish.
