Quaker's: peanutty crisscrosses ingredients

  • 3⁄4 c margarine, softened
  • 1 c Peanut butter
  • 1 1⁄2 c Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1⁄3 c water
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 3 c QUAKER Oats uncooked
  • -(quick or old fashioned)
  • 1 1⁄2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1⁄2 t Baking soda
  • Granulated sugar

Cooking Quaker's: peanutty crisscrosses

1. Beat together margarine, peanut butter and sugar until creamy.
2. Add water, egg and vanilla; beat well.
3. Add combined oats, flour and baking soda.
4. Cover; chill about 1 hour.
5. heat oven to 350°F.
6. Shape dough into l-inch balls.
7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with tines of fork, dipped in granulated sugar, to form crisscross pattern.
8. Bakei 9 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
9. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
10. Cool completely.
11. Store in tightly covered container.
