Pizza Snack ingredients
- 3 c Whole-wheat flour
- 1 T Sugar
- 372529⁄-2009260032 t Salt
- 1 t Oregano leaves
- 1 pk dry yeast
- 1 c very warm water (120-130 F)
- 2 T butter, or margarine, softened
- 1 Cornmeal
- 1 c Pizza sauce
- 1 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
Cooking Pizza Snack
1. In large bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, oregano and yeast.
2. Add warm water and margarine to dry ingredients.
3. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.
4. Add 3/4 cup flour.
5. Beat at high speed 2 minutes.
6. Stiri in enough remaining flour to make stiff dough.
7. Kneadi 8 to 10 minutes.
8. Set in greased bowl, turn to grease top. Cover, let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
9. Punch dough down.
10. Divide into 8 equal pieces, shape into balls.
11. Cover, let rest 10 minutes.
12. Roll and stretch each ball to a 5 inch circle.
13. Place on greased baking sheets sprinkled with cornmeal.
14. Shape edges of each circle into a standing rim of dough.
15. Cover, let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
16. Bakei at 375 F for 8 to 10 minutes.
17. Spread each round with 2 tablespoons pizza sauce, sprinkle with cheese and your favorite topping.
18. Bake about 10 minutes more.
