Pikelets ingredients

  • 2 T Sugar
  • 1 med Eggs
  • 1 c flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Milk

Cooking Pikelets

1. A great New Zealand version of the famous Pancake.
2. 1 Beat sugar and egg together 2 Add flour, baking powder and milk and mix well 3 Heat skillet and add small amount of butter 4 Add 1 large spoonfull of batter for each pikelet and cook over moderate heat until bubbles appear then FLIP! 5 Cook the second side until golden.
3. 6 Serve with butter, jam or whatever takes your fancy.
4. 7 To entertain young children you can make all sort of fun shapes, animals etc.
