Cooking Picnic Chocolate Applesauce Cake

1. Creami shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs and beat well.
3. Add applesauce.
4. Sifti dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
5. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar, chocolate chips and nuts.
6. Bakei 350 for 40 min.
