Pickled mushrooms in oil ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Lemon juice
  • 1 qt water
  • 6 c Mushrooms, small, button
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2 c Vinegar, white distilled
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Oregano, dried
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t basil, dried
  • 2 Bay leaves, broken in half
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c oil, olive

Cooking Pickled mushrooms in oil

1. 1-combine lemon juice and water in a large saucepan.
2. 2-add mushrooms and salt and bring to a boil.
3. Simmeri 5 minutes.
4. 3-drain and pour vinegar over.
5. Cover and let stand 10-12 hours.
6. 4-drain mushrooms and reserve vinegar (vinegar can be used one more time pickling mushrooms or use in salad dressings or cooking).
7. Place mushrooms in sterilized half-pint jars.
8. 5-divide herbs into 4 portions and add to jars.
9. Cover with olive oil.
10. 6-process in boiling water bath 20 minutes.
