Pickled herring ingredients
- Herring fillets
- Onions, sliced
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 T Vegatable oil
- 1 t Sugar
- 1⁄2 To ¾ cup vinegar
- 1 c Cold water
Cooking Pickled herring
1. Soak herring for 3 or 4 hours in cold water.
2. Wash in cold water and cut into cubes.
3. Prepare a marinade with the remaining ingredients and marinate for 2 days.
4. Drain and serve.
