Pear salsa ingredients

  • 2 T Vegatable oil
  • 1 med Onion, chopped
  • 1 Green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, chopped fine
  • 2 T Finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 T Lemon juice
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1 T Chopped fresh oregano OR
  • 1 t Dried oregano
  • 1 T Chopped fresh basil or
  • 1 t Dried basil
  • 1⁄2 t Tabasco sauce
  • 2 med Tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • Coarse
  • 2 To 3 pears, peeled & chopped

Cooking Pear salsa

1. Heat oil in medium frypan.
2. Sautei onion until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
3. Add green pepper, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, oregano, basil and tobasco sauce; cook 2 minutes.
4. Remove frypan from heat and stir in tomatoes and pears.
5. Cover and refrigerate.
6. Make 5 cups.
