Orange Pecan Bread 2 ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 c All-purpose flour
- 3⁄4 c Sugar
- 1 t baking powder
- 1⁄2 t Baking soda
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 3⁄4 c Orange juice
- 1 Large egg
- 2 T butter Or margarine
- 1 T Orange rind
- 1⁄2 t Almond extract
- 1⁄2 c Pitted dates
- 1⁄2 c pecans
Cooking Orange Pecan Bread 2
1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
2. In a separate bowl, combine orange juice, egg, butter, orange peel and almond extract.
3. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and drop in orange juice mixture; stir until just combined; stir in dates and pecans.
4. Turn batter into a greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf pan. Bakei in a 350 °F. Oven 50 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
5. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
6. Turn out of pan. Cool completely on wire rack.
