Orange or vanilla sauce

Orange or vanilla sauce ingredients
- 1 c Sugar
- 2 T flour
- 1 Orange rind and juice
- 2 c Boiling water
- 2 T butter or butter substitute
- 1⁄4 t Salt
Cooking Orange or vanilla sauce
1. Combine sugar, salt, and flour.
2. Add water slowly, stirring constantly.
3. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly, 8 minutes.
4. Add orange juice and rind, and butter.
5. Stiri until blended.
6. Serve with steamed or baked puddings.
7. For vanilla sauce, use 1 teaspoon vanilla instead of the juice and rind of orange.
