Old fashioned scones ingredients
- 3 c Self-Rising flour
- 1 t Salt
- 2 t Sugar
- 2 oz (60 g) Butter
- 1 c Milk
Cooking Old fashioned scones
1. Set oven at 450°F.
2. Arrange shelf in oven in the top third of the oven.
3. Sifti the flour, salt, and sugar into a bowl, rub in the butter, add milk to make a soft dough.
4. Kneadi lightly on floured surface, then pat into a rectangle about ¾" thick.
5. Cut into squares or rounds.
6. Arrange on a lightly greased tray.
7. Brush with milk to glaze.
8. Bakei for 12 - 15 minutes, or until well risen and golden brown.
