Oatmeal Muffins(Crouse) ingredients

  • 2 c Oatmeal
  • 1 1⁄2 c Sour milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 2 T -Shortening
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 t Baking soda

Cooking Oatmeal Muffins(Crouse)

1. Soak oatmeal in sour milk overnight.
2. In morning add the other ingredients.
3. Chopped dates or raisins may be added.
4. Bakei 25 minutes.
5. Makes 14 muffins.
6. Note: Assume hot oven 400 - 450 F. Source: Mrs. Vernon E.
