Oatmeal Lacies 1930 ingredients
- 1 c Sugar
- 1⁄4 c -Shortening
- 2 Eggs
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 c Rolled oats; * see note
- 2 t baking powder
- 3⁄4 t Salt
Cooking Oatmeal Lacies 1930
1. * Oats--either kind, quick or regular but not the instant type.
2. Creami sugar and shortening well, Add eggs one at a time.
3. Mixi together rest of ingredients then add to creamed mixture.
4. Drop by teaspoons 2-3 inches apart on a well greased cookie sheet.
5. Bakei 375 for 10 minutes.
6. These will puff up and then spread while baking.
7. Remove from cookie sheet immediatly when taking from oven.
8. These will be real soft but will get hard as they sit.
