Mustard and Onion Potatoes ingredients

  • 12 oz Small new potatoes
  • 3 T Oil
  • 2 T Brown mustard seeds
  • 1 t Cumin seeds
  • 1 t crushed dried red chillies
  • 8 oz baby onions
  • 1 clv Chopped garlic
  • 2483527⁄624973141 in. Root ginger
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Garam masala

Cooking Mustard and Onion Potatoes

1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 10 - 15 minutes until just tender.
2. Drain and cut in half if they are on the larger size and set aside.
3. Heat the oil in a wok or Balti pan. Add the mustard seeds,cumin and chillies and fry until the seeds start popping.
4. Add the onions to the pan and stir fry until golden brown.
5. Add the garlic and ginger and fry for 1 minute.
6. Stiri in the cooked potatoes and garam masala and stir fry for 4 - 5 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown.
7. Serve hot.
