Mushroom rice with turmeric ingredients
- 2483527⁄624973141 lb Muchrooms, cubed
- 4 T butter
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Onions, finely chopped
- 1 garlic, minced
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground Turmeric
- 1 c Rice
- 1 Bay leaf
- 372529⁄-2009260032 c chicken broth
Cooking Mushroom rice with turmeric
1. Great with grilled fish, seafood or chicken.
2. Wash, trim, and cube mushrooms--there should be about 2 cups.
3. Heat half of butter in ovenproof pan with tight fitting lid. Add onion and garlic.
4. Sautei several minutes and then add mushrooms.
5. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring.
6. Sprinkle with turmeric and add rice and bay leaf.
7. Stiri until rice is coated.
8. Add chicken broth and salt and pepper to taste.
9. Cover and bring to boil on top of stove.
10. Place in 400 degree oven and bake 20 minutes.
11. Remove.
12. Discard bay leaf and stir in remaining butter with fork.
