Mushroom bacon saute ingredients

  • 12 Bacon Slices -- 12 Oz
  • 1 1⁄2 lb Fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • About 8 cups
  • 1 c onions -- chopped
  • 1 1⁄2 T garlic, minced
  • 2 t Oregano leaves -- crushed
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1⁄2 t Ground black pepper

Cooking Mushroom bacon saute

1. Use this recipe to add to: salads, pasta, rice, pizza, meats, etc. In a large skillet over medium heat cook bacon until crisp, about 5 minutes.
2. Transfer to a paper towel; crumble, set aside.
3. Pour off all but 4 tablespoons bacon fat. Add mushrooms, onions and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid evaporates, 7 to 8 minutes.
4. Stiri in crumbled bacon, oregano, salt and black pepper, refrigerate or freeze in 2 portions and use in recipes.
