Mrs. field's creamy peanut butter chocolate bars

Mrs. field's creamy peanut butter chocolate bars ingredients
- Crust
- 8 med Butter cookies
- 1⁄4 c Salted butter, melted
- CHOCOLATE LAYERS
- 2 1⁄2 c Milk chocolate chips =15 oz
- PEANUT BUTTER FILLING
- 1 1⁄2 c Creamy peanut butter
- 1⁄2 c salted butter, softened
- 3 c Confectioners' sugar
- 2 T pure vanilla extract
Cooking Mrs. field's creamy peanut butter chocolate bars
1. *crush cookies until finely ground.
2. Add butter & mix. Press crumb mixture into bottom of 8x8 baking pan & bake 10 mins.
3. At 325°F.
4. Cool to room temperature.
5. *melt chocolate.
6. Pour half into pan & smooth evenly over crust.
7. Place pan in refrigerator.
8. Keep remaining choc.
9. Warm. *blend peanut butter & butter together until smooth using electric mixer.
10. Slowly beat in confectioners" sugar & vanilla.
11. Beat until smooth.
12. Spread mixture over chilled chocolate layer.
13. Pour remaining warm chocolate over top & spread smoothly.
14. Chill in refrigerator one hour.
15. Yields 24-36 bars.
