Moose swiss steak ingredients
- 3 lb Moose round steak
- 1⁄2 Can water
- flour
- -1-inch pieces
- 2 c water
- 2 t Salt
- 1⁄2 t Black pepper
- 2 t worchestershire sause
- 1 Can tomato soup diluted with Meat Tenderizer
- 3 Stalks celery; sliced
- 1⁄2 c -Shortening
- 1 Green pepper, chopped
- 1 med Onion, chopped
- 1⁄4 t basil
Cooking Moose swiss steak
1. Cut meat in serving-size pieces.
2. Sprinkle on meat tenderizer.
3. Dusti meat with flour and rub it in. brown on both sides in hot shortening.
4. Place in baking disk and add water, salt and pepper.
5. Bakei in 325 degree oven 2 hours.
6. Add remaining ingredients, and more water if necessary.
7. Bake 1 hour more, or until meat and celery are tender.
8. Removed meat from pan. Stiri pan juices, scraping sides and bottom.
9. Use this as a gravy to be served with meat or on mashed potatoes.
