Mom's chayote ingredients

  • Chayote, skinned and sliced MSG
  • Salt

Cooking Mom's chayote

1. In bottom of pressure cooker, layer skinned slices.
2. Cover with salt and a touch of msg. Another layer of chayote.
3. Put in just enough water to cover the bottom.
4. Cover with 15 lb. weight.
5. After it starts popping, cook 2 minutes.
