Miami flaming salsa ingredients

  • 12 oz (2 medium) fresh ripe
  • Tomatoes
  • 2483527⁄624973141 Orange, seeded and coarsely
  • -chopped
  • 2 T Green onion, sliced
  • 1 T Fresh cilantro, chopped or
  • parsley
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t Jalapeno pepper, fresh or
  • -canned
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Orange peel, grated
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt, optional
  • 1 t Chopped habanero pepper

Cooking Miami flaming salsa

1. Use tomatoes at room temperature until fully ripe.
2. Core tomatoes, cut in halves crosswise; squeeze out and discard seeds and juice.
3. Chopi tomatoes, (makes about 1 ½ cups).
4. In large bowl, combine tomatoes, orange, scallion, cilantro, jalapeno, orange peel and salt if desired.
5. Use as a dip, in tacos, with hamburgers, or fish.
