Mexican Bbq Sauce ingredients

  • 1⁄2 c olive oil
  • 1 c Onion
  • 1 T garlic
  • 20 oz Tomato
  • 1 t Kosher salt
  • 1⁄2 t Cayenne
  • 2 T Chili powder
  • 1⁄4 c Cider vinegar

Cooking Mexican Bbq Sauce

1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet, over a medium flame.
2. Add onions and saute for 1 minute.
3. Add garlic and saute for 8-10 minutes, until onions are lightly browned.
4. Add remaining ingredients, except vinegar.
5. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
6. Stiri in vinegar and simmer for another 10 minutes.
7. Use as a marinade or baste for pork.
8. Or add pork and simmer until tender.
