Meatball Stew ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1 med Onion, chopped
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 c Bread crumbs
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper
  • 2 T butter Or margarine
  • 1 16 oz ca whole tomatoes -- undrained, chopped
  • 1 c water
  • 2 T beef base (paste or granules)
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t garlic Powder
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Seasoned salt
  • 2 t Italian seasoning
  • 4 carrots -- peeled and diced
  • 3 large potatoes -- peeled and diced
  • 1 med Onions, sliced
  • 2 T Cornstarch
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Cold water

Cooking Meatball Stew

1. Combine ground beef with chopped onion, egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
2. Sh ape mixture into about 24 meatballs, then brown in margarine; drain well.
3. Stiri together tomatoes, water, beef base and seasonings.
4. Palce carrots, potato es and sliced onion in bottom of Crock-Pot; top with meatballs.
5. Pour tomato mi xture over all. cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
6. Before serving, remove meatballs with a slotted spoon.
7. Make a smooth paste of the cornstarch and water and stir into vegetables.
8. Cover and cook on High for 10 minutes ot thicken.
9. Reutrn meatballs to stew and serve.
