Marynowane Pieczarki (Pickled Mushrooms) ingredients

  • 3 c water
  • 2 T Salt
  • 2 lb Mushrooms, small, button
  • ---MARINADE---
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c Vinegar, white
  • 10 Peppercorns, black
  • 2 Bay leaves

Cooking Marynowane Pieczarki (Pickled Mushrooms)

1. MARINADE: Simmeri vinegar, peppercorns and bay leaves in a small covered saucepan 10 minutes over medium-low heat.
2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
3. In a large saucepan, combine water and salt; bring to a boil.
4. Add mushrooms.
5. Cover tightly and simmer over low heat 10 minutes.
6. Straini mushrooms; discard cooking liquid.
7. Let cool.
8. Arrange equal amounts of mushrooms in pint canning jars.
9. Pour boiling marinade over mushrooms to cover.
10. Place lids on jars; seal tightly.
11. Let cool to room temperature; refrigerate.
12. Serve chilled.
