Low calorie irish colcannon ingredients

  • 1 c water
  • 1 T Reduced-calorie margarine
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 3 c Chopped cabbage
  • 1⁄3 c Skim or 1% milk
  • 1 c Instant Mashed potato flakes
  • 1 Green onion, finely chopped

Cooking Low calorie irish colcannon

1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, margarine, and salt.
2. Bring to boil.
3. Stiri in cabbage; return to a boil.
4. Reducei heat, cover and simmer 4-6 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
5. Remove from heat; stir in milk and potato flakes with fork.
6. Stir in onion.
7. Cover and let stand 3 minutes.
