Lemon-apple-hazelnut sauce ingredients

  • 3⁄4 c Sugar
  • 3 T Cornstarch
  • 1⁄4 t Salt
  • 3⁄4 c water
  • 1⁄2 c Lemon juice
  • 20 oz Canned apple pie filling
  • 1⁄2 c Oregon hazelnuts
  • -- roasted & chopped

Cooking Lemon-apple-hazelnut sauce

1. Mixi together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 1-quart glass bowl.
2. Gradually stir in the water.
3. Microwave for 3 to 4 minutes or until thick and clear.
4. Stiri a couple of times while cooking.
5. Gradually add the lemon juice and stir to blend.
6. Add the pie filling and hazelnuts.
7. spoon over gingerbread, pound cake or use as pie filling.
