Lemon thyme cake ingredients

  • 1 c butter
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 3 Lemons, grated zest of
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄4 c Fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 c Milk
  • Glaze
  • 1 c Lemon Juice, mixed with
  • 1⁄2 c Powdered sugar;

Cooking Lemon thyme cake

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Butteri and flour a 9" bundt pan. Creami butter with sugar and lemon zest.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time.
4. Sifti flour with baking powder and salt; stir in thyme.
5. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
6. Pour into the prepared pan. Bakei 40-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Turn out onto a rack and spoon glaze over the hot cake.
8. Per serving: calories: 450, protein: 8 g, carbohydrate: 58 g, fat: 22 g, saturated fat: 13 g, cholesterol: 137 mg, sodium: 401 mg, fiber: 1 g.
