Lemon Meringue Pie 3 ingredients
- 2 Eggs; separated
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Fresh lemon juice
- 1 T Lemon Zest -- Grated
- 3 T All-purpose flour
- 1 c Sugar
- 2 T butter
- 372529⁄-2009260032 c Boiling water
- 1 9 inch pie crust
- 3 T Sugar
Cooking Lemon Meringue Pie 3
1. In a heavy saucepan, beat egg yolks with lemon juice and zest.
2. Place under low heat.
3. Beat in flour, 1 cup sugar, and butter.
4. Add boiling water, cook and stir until mixture thickens.
5. Pour into prepared pie crust.
6. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar.
7. Spread over filling.
8. Bakei at 450 degrees until meringue is browned.
