Lebanese Lentil Soup ingredients
- 1 c Lentils
- 1 Swiss chard
- 2483527⁄624973141 Onions
- 3 garlic
- olive oil
- 3 Lemon
- Freshly ground black pepper
Cooking Lebanese Lentil Soup
1. Rinse and sort the lentils.
2. In a soup pot, saute the onion & garlic in a bit of olive oil until they're soft.
3. Add about a quart and a half of water and lentils and bring to a boil.
4. Simmeri the lentils until they're just done.
5. You want them to still be whole and firm.
6. Tear the chard into bite size pieces and toss it in during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
7. Take off the heat and squeeze in the lemons.
