Lavash ingredients

  • c flour
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c shortening (I use Crisco)
  • 1 Egg; lightly beaten
  • 1 c Milk
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 T Poppy Seeds

Cooking Lavash

1. Sifti flour with salt and sugar into a large mixing bowl.
2. Cut ini shortening.
3. Combine egg and milk.
4. Stiri into flour mixture, mixing well.
5. Doughi will be firm.
6. Let dough rest for 30 minutes.
7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
8. Sprinkle sesame seed on 4 baking sheets.
9. Kneadi dough for 2-3 minutes.
10. Divide dough into fourths; roll each piece to 1/16 thickness.
11. Place dough on prepared pans; brush with water and sprinkle with poppy seed.
12. Bakei for 20-25 minutes or until browned and crisp.
13. Break into pieces and serve with butter.
14. Makes 4 sheets.
