Kona Short Ribs ingredients

  • 6 lb short rib
  • 1 c soy sauce
  • 1⁄4 c water
  • 1⁄2 c Sugar
  • 1⁄2 t Monosodium glutamate
  • 2 T Fresh ginger root
  • 3 T brandy
  • 1 T garlic Puree

Cooking Kona Short Ribs

1. Place short ribs in a large saucepan, over a moderate flame.
2. Add water to cover.
3. Heat to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 60 minutes remove from heat, cool.
4. Drain liquid, dry meat with a towel.
5. Combine remaining ingredients in a deep narrow bowl.
6. Add ribs, turning to coat well.
7. Cover, and chill for 2-24 hours.
8. Remove from marinade.
9. Grilli or broil ribs, 5-inches from coals, until browned and crisp.
10. Arrange onto a serving platter.
11. Garnishi as desired Serve hot.
