Kentucky eggnog

Kentucky eggnog ingredients
- 6 large Egg yolks
- 1⁄4 c Sugar
- 2 1⁄2 c Milk
- 1⁄4 c Bourbon
- 1⁄2 t vanilla
- 1⁄4 t Nutmeg
Cooking Kentucky eggnog
1. In a medium saucepan beat egg yolks and sugar.
2. Slowly beat in 2 cups of the milk.
3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until themometer registers 160 degrees or mixture coats back of a metal spoon.
4. Remove from heat; strain into a pitcher.
5. Stiri in remaining milk, bourbon, vanilla and nutmeg.
6. Cover and chill at least 8 hours.
7. When served sprinkle with additional nutmeg.
