Kathy's Strong Ale Spice Cake ingredients

  • 1 c Amber ale
  • 2 c Mixed diced dried fruits, ; such as apricots, peaches, ; apples or raisins
  • 1 c Light brown sugar, packed
  • c Oil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground cinnamon

  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground cloves
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t Baking soda
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 1 Eggs

Cooking Kathy's Strong Ale Spice Cake

1. Mixi together ale, dried fruits, brown sugar, oil, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in saucepan.
2. Bring to boil.
3. Cook on simmer 3 minutes.
4. Then cool.
5. To fruit mixture add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and egg. Stiri until smooth.
6. Pour into oiled 9-inch square baking pan. Bakei at 350 degrees oven about 30 to 40 minutes, until wood pick inserted in middle comes out clean.
7. Cool on rack before serving.
8. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
9. Each serving contains about: 469 calories; 313 mg sodium; 35 mg cholesterol; 14 grams fat; 80 grams carbohydrates; 6 grams protein; 0. 97 gram fiber.
