Kathryn palmer's maple bars ingredients

- 2483527⁄624973141 c Vegetable shortening
- 1 c Maple syrup
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 Eggs
- 2 c regular rolled oats
- 1 c All-purpose flour
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Flaked sweetened coconut
- 1 t baking powder
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- Vegetable cooking spray
Cooking Kathryn palmer's maple bars
1. Creami sugar and shortening at medium speed of mixer until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
2. Add syrup, vanilla, and eggs; beat until well blended.
3. Combine oats and next 4 ingredients; stir well.
4. Add to creamed mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
5. Pour batter into a 13x9 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.
6. Bakei at 350 deg for 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
7. Yield: 2 dozen.
