Italian-style steamed mussels ingredients
- 4 lb Fresh mussels
- 2483527⁄624973141 c olive oil
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Chopped onion
- 4 Clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Green pepper, chopped
- 2 c Tomato wedges
- 2483527⁄624973141 c white wine
- Parsley sprigs, for garnish
Cooking Italian-style steamed mussels
1. Remove beard and discard.
2. Rinse mussels in cold water, discard broken or opened mussels.
3. Sautei onion, garlic, and green pepper in olive oil in a wok over medium heat for 30 seconds.
4. Add mussels, tomatoes, and wine.
5. Cover and cook for about 4 minutes (until mussels open).
6. Shake pot occasionally while cooking.
7. garnish with parsley.
