Italian Tuna-Noodle Casserole ingredients

  • 13 oz canned solid white tuna in w
  • 1 c Celery
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Onions
  • 16 oz Canned tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato paste
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c water
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t garlic Powder
  • 1 t Oregano
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Dried basil
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Fennel seeds
  • 8 oz Noodles
  • 2 T Parmesan cheese

Cooking Italian Tuna-Noodle Casserole

1. Drain tuna.
2. Use 3 tablespoons of drained oil (if not soybean oil, substitute a high polyunsaturated oil) to cook celery and onion until soft.
3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, garlic powder.
4. Oreganoi, basil, and fennel.
5. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
6. Meanwhile cook noodles.
7. Lightly grease 2 quart casserole.
8. Layer in half of noodles.
9. Top with half of tuna mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese.
10. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
11. Bakei for 30 minutes at 350 °F.
