Island Game Hens ingredients

  • 3 Rock Cornish game hens
  • 1 T Ginger
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Dry sherry
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c soy sauce
  • 1 t garlic Powder
  • 1 t Sesame oil
  • 2 t Honey
  • Peanut oil

Cooking Island Game Hens

1. Split hens in half, pat dry. combine all other ingredients except peanut oil, pour over game hens, refrigerate overnight.
2. heat oven to broil.
3. Adjust broiler rack to 4 inches below heating element.
4. Coat rack with peanut oil and broil hens skin side down till brown.
5. Turn hens over and broil other side till brown, basting occasionally with peanut oil. Internal temperature of hens should be 170°F.
6. serve with rice.
