Irish breakfast scones ingredients

  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c Whole wheat PASTRY flour
  • c Wholemeal flour
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Wheat bran
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 2 T Soy margarine
  • 2 T corn syrup
  • 1 c Potato or soy milk

Cooking Irish breakfast scones

1. Mixi dry ingredients.
2. Add margarine and mix well.
3. Add the syrup and enough milk to make a loose dough.
4. Turn onto a floured board and knead until smooth.
5. Roll out into a square with a thickness of about ¾ inch.
6. Cut dough in half, then into quarters and then to eights.
7. Bakei on a lightly floured baking sheet at 400f for approximately 20 minutes.
8. Cool on a wire rack.
9. Split and serve with whole fruit preserves.
