Indian beans ingredients
- 1 lb pinto beans, dried
- 3 qt water
- 1 cn Tomatoes, (1pound)
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 8 sli Bacon, cut in 2" pieces
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Celery, sliced
- 372529⁄-2009260032 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
- 6 T Sugar
- 3 T Vinegar
Cooking Indian beans
1. Wash beans; place in 6 qt. kettle with 3 qts. Water and bring to a simmer.
2. Cover; cook 4 hours, or until tender.
3. Mixi remaining ingredients with beans and cooking water.
4. Place in 4 qt. casserole; cover and bake in 350 oven 2 to 3 hours or until done.
5. Add wate if necessary.
