Hummus bi tahini

Hummus bi tahini ingredients
- 19 oz Can chickpeas
- 1 t Baking soda
- 3 T tahini
- 1 garlic cloves, chopped
- Juice of 1 ½ lemons
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 2 T Cold water
- 1 T Pine nuts
- 1 T olive oil
Cooking Hummus bi tahini
1. Combine chickpeas with their juice with baking soda & bring to a boil.
2. Immediately remove from heat, drain & rinse thoroughly.
3. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, salt & 1 tb of water.
4. Blend till creamy.
5. Add rest of the water if mixture apears too thick.
6. Refrigerate.
7. Heat olive oil & fry pine nuts till golden brown.
8. When ready to serve, sprinkle over hummus.
9. Serve cold with pita bread.
