Hot mushroom pate/dip

Hot mushroom pate/dip ingredients
- 1 med Onion, chopped fine
- 1 Clove of garlic
- 1 ea Chillie, chopped, to taste
- 1 To 2 t thyme
- 1 lb Mushrooms (large) chopped
- Fine
- 2 T Lemon juice
- 3⁄4 c Breadcrumbs
Cooking Hot mushroom pate/dip
1. In a large saucepan gently cook 1 medium onion, chopped finely.
2. Add 1 clove of garlic and chopped chillie (to taste, about 1 teaspoon)and 1-2 teaspoons of dried thyme.
3. Add 500g/ie.
4. 1 pd. Mushrooms (preferably large ones) chopped finely and stir well.
5. Cover and simmer until they are getting soft.
6. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and about ¾ cup breadcrumbs (pref.
7. Wholemeal).
8. cook a bit longer stirring constanly.
9. Spoon into a dish and eat warm on bread or as a dip, or leave to cool in the fridge.
